New Managing Director at Point

As of 1 November 2011, Chris Lund-Hansen has been appointed Managing Director of Point Transaction Systems A/S, one of Denmark’s leading suppliers of retail payment and credit and debit card terminals.

COPENHAGEN 31 October 2011 – Point Transaction Systems, one of the market’s biggest suppliers of retail payment terminals, has just appointed Chris Lund-Hansen (46) as its new Managing Director. Chris Lund-Hansen comes from a position as CEO of PayEx. He holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, and brings with him more than 20 years of experience from the IT sector, for example as divisional director of the SAS Institute and CEO of both Expenture and PayEx.

Chris Lund-Hansen is taking over the position of Managing Director from Gerner Nielsen as part of a generational change. Gerner Nielsen will continue in an advisory capacity at Point until the end of 2012.

At the moment, one of Point’s most important areas is cash-free payment, or Near Field Communication (NFC). NFC makes it possible to carry out cash-free transactions, for example with mobile phones and credit cards.
